BRANCH MANAGER – Vergelegen Plein Shopping Centre (Somerset West, Western Cape)

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Sell and oversee the sales of a diverse range of clothing
• Effectively plan and control the operational requirements within a retail environment
• Manage, train and develop a team of sales assistants.
• Be the liaison person between your shop and colleagues within other departments (such as the distribution centre, head office, buyer etc),
• Ensure exceptional customer experience
• Be accountable for the replenishment of stock, stock control and merchandising standards within your shop.
• Ensure the upkeep of housekeeping within your shop
• Ensure a friendly and welcoming environment, for clients and co-workers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Confidence combined with humility
• Passion for retail, creativity and up to date with fashion trends
• Experience in the clothing retail environment and proven ability to effectively manage team members
• Ability to train and develop team members (think customer experience and product knowledge
• Minimal:  Matric or similar qualification
• Fluency in:  Afrikaans and Engels
• Intermediate computer skills
• Working knowledge of IQ retail operating system is not a must, but will count in your favour
• Clear criminal record

• Verkoop self en oorsien die verkoop van ‘n wye verskeidenheid van klere
• Beplan effektief en bestuur die operasionele vereistes van ‘n handelsomgewing
• Bestuur, lei op en ontwikkel die verkoopsspanlede
• Wees die skakelpersoon tusssen jou winkel, en kollegas in ander departemente (soos in hoofkantoor, distribusie, aankope ens.)
• Verseker uitmuntende klantediens
• Neem verantwoordelikheid om ‘n skoon en netjiese winkel te handhaaf
• Skep en verseker ‘n vriendelike en welkome omgewing, vir klante en werknemers.

 VEREISTES

• Selfversekerheid gekombineer met nederigheid
• Passie vir kleinhandel, kreatiwiteit en op datum met modeneigings 
• Ondervinding in mode handel en bewysbare ondervinding om ‘n span effektief te bestuur
• Vermoëns om ‘n verkoopsspan op te lei en te ontwikkel (dink aan klante diens en produkkennis)
• Minimum:  Matriek of soortgelyk
• Vlot in:  Afrikaans en Engels
• Intermediêre rekenaarvaardighede
• Bewysbare kennis van IQ se bedryfstelsel is nie ‘n vereiste nie, maar sal in jou guns tel
• Geen kriminele rekord
