ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – SCHOOLWEAR PROCUREMENT TEAM (WORCESTER, WESTERN CAPE)

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • Gather all the necessary products information from suppliers and carefully load the product detail into the operating system (IQ Retail).
  • Process amendments and communicate changes to external stakeholders as well as the various departments and branches within the business
  • Assist with the process to place orders, generate weekly reports (e.g. incoming stock and sales)
  • Manage orders by following protocol and applying a proactive approach
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with colleauges, suppliers and key functions within the business.
  • Monitor and analyse stock movement, and plan stock distribution within the business
  • Support sales persons in branches to resolve product and order queries and complaints

 WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong numeric ability combined with intermediate computer skills, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge of IQ retail operating system is not a must, but will count in your favour
  • Minimum:  Matric with Accounting and/or Maths as subject (not Maths literacy)
  • Proficiency in both Afrikaans and English
  • Well-developed administrative skills
  • A team player with high attention to detail
  • Thrive in a pressurised environment and to apply problem solving skills
  • Available to physically participate in companywide stock take
  • Passion for retail, strong interest in and knowledge of trends
  • Ability to effectively gain and utilise product knowledge
  • Clear criminal record

ADMINISTRATIEWE ASSISTENT (SKOOLKLERE AANKOPESPAN) – WORCESTER (Wes-Kaap) 

 
VERANTWOORDELIKHEDE VAN DIE ROL
  • Versamel alle nodige produkinligting vanaf verskaffers en laai dit op die bedryfstelsel (IQ Retail)
  • Verwerk wysigings en kommunikeer alle veranderinge aan eksterne belanghebbendes asook intern aan verskillende departemente en takke
  • Dra by tot die proses om bestellings te plaas, genereer weeklikse verslae (bv. inkomende voorraad en verkope)
  • Bestuur die bestellingsproses deur protokol te volg en ‘n proaktiewe benadering toe te pas
  • Bou en handhaaf produktiewe verhoudings met kollegas, verskaffers en sleutelfunksies in die besigheid.
  • Monitor en ontleed voorraadbeweging, en beplan voorraadverspreiding binne die besigheid
  • Ondersteun verkoopspersone in takke om produk- en bestellingsnavrae en -klagtes op te los

WAARNA SOEK ONS:

  • Sterk numeriese vermoë gekombineer met intermediêre rekenaarvaardighede, veral Excel
  • Werkende kennis van IQ-kleinhandelbedryfstelsel is nie ‘n moet nie, maar sal in jou guns tel
  • Minimum: Matriek met Rekeningkunde en/of Wiskunde as vak (nie Wiskunde geletterdheid nie)
  • Vlot in Afrikaans en Engels
  • Goed ontwikkelde administratiewe vaardighede
  • ‘n Spanspeler met hoë aandag aan detail
  • Floreer in ‘n omweging waar daar druk is en om jou probleemoplossings vaardighede toe te pas
  • Beskikbaar om fisies deel te neem aan maatskappywye voorraadopname
  • Passie vir kleinhandel, sterk belangstelling in en kennis van mode tendense
  • Vermoë om produkkennis effektief op te doen en te benut
